A. B. Schwartzkopf

“Fantasy remains a human right: we make in our measure and in our derivative mode, because we are made: and not only made, but made in the image and likeness of a Maker.”

J. R. R. Tolkien in “On Fairy-Stories”

About A. B. Schwartzkopf

It’s good to meet you on a day where the sun has risen once more! I am A. B. Schwartzkopf, author of The Elementani Trilogy that will one day be published. My goal is to provide readers with grand adventures built on extensive worldbuilding and the theme of hope.

I’m based in Grand Rapids, MI, the city where I was born and raised, and live with my dog, Zyka. When I’m not writing or working, I’m training for MMA, going on my own adventures outside, crafting, or enjoying a lazy evening playing my favorite video games.

Currently, I work two jobs. One with an embroidery factory, and the other with a publishing house. Days are long and the writing time short, but nothing’s stopped me from writing yet!

Current Projects

Elementani: When new magic awakens without knowing why, will it be the worlds salvation or be its destruction?

Elementani is a planned trilogy that’s part of a world full of imaginative worldbuilding, made up languages, and carefully crafted magic systems both ancient and new. These books started as my respectful love-letter to Tolkien’s work, but have become a monster of its own.

To the Dead: a Poetry Collection for the Morbid: a collection of poems that focuses on the twisty intrigue with the dark side of the mind and how it reflects the need for hope.

The Key to Nightmares: Currently a stand-alone book that spins sci-fi and fantasy together, and takes lucid dreaming to a whole different level. I’ve been a lucid dreamer every night since I was a child. My night world is mapped, I know where I am, I can control it if I want, but the dreams always change. So I thought to myself, what if I wasn’t the only one? What if this was actually the key to being part of a secret society, accessed only when you’re asleep? And what would happen if someone accidentally infiltrated the scene?
